This beautiful, 400+ page (hard cover), second edition, photo-journal coffee table book, printed locally in the nation’s capital, captures the experiences of Canberra’s volunteer firefighters from the perspectives of our firefighters, working on the front lines of Australia’s catastrophic eastern seaboard and inland fires during Black Summer.
Fighting bushfires is a team effort so the book also recognises the contributions of other emergency first responder services and agencies such as the ACT ESA, ACTSES, ACT Fire & Rescue, NSWRFS, the ADF, ACTAS, the AFP, NSW Police, QFES, and ARFFS.
Proceeds from the sale of this book will go to the ACT Volunteer Brigades Association (a volunteer not for profit association run by volunteer firefighters for volunteer firefighters).
